Some users have had difficulties while attempting to close the YouTube Apple TV app.
On Tuesday, several users reported the problem on the microblogging service Twitter.
Users complain that their Apple TV displays a blank screen and stops responding when they try to quit the YouTube programme.
While one tweeter wrote: “Please remove the exit screen from your AppleTV app, @YouTube. It is inconvenient and ineffective. Both previously and currently, it was not necessary.”
One more noted, “The most recent Apple TV version of the YouTube app contains a flaw. In place of tvOS home, the new Exit confirmation sends the user to a black screen.”
The video-sharing website responded to the affected users and advised them to reinstall the application, clear their cache and cookies, or make sure they had the most recent update downloaded. The company has not yet made an official statement regarding the problem.

YouTube claimed earlier this month that “many” customers’ reported crashes in the iOS app had been resolved.
Over 8,000 users in the US reported various crash problems to DownDetector, an online tool for monitoring website outages.
